What's New from KidsCartoons.About.com!

Yes, I'm going to be concise here and instead of inundating your feed with a couple short separate posts about the things I've written over at About this week, I'm going to condense them into this nice little happy post and just pack it full of links for you to click! See, I'm saving you time!

First of all, I wrote a little piece about the Return of Tiny Toons to television. I was super excited about this and it was kind of a surprise (my friends at The Hub are sneaky sometimes, even to insiders like me!). On the plus side, I got to remind my readers about the fact that I got to talk to the incredible Tress McNeill too. Yes, I did that. And yes, she left me a voicemail that I keep hitting "save" on until I can figure out a way to download it forever.

Next, I was sent the new My Little Pony Equestria Girls Blu-ray combo pack from my friends at Click Communications and Shout! Factory. I finally got to see the first five minutes of the movie! (We had an issue getting in at our local theatre because for some reason, press passes are foreign to them and they had to verify with like six people that it was authentic. Even the shiny background that is impossible to just print off a computer wasn't enough to convince them it was legit.) Plus, for the first time in a while, Shout really delivered on the bonus features.

Now it's time for me to give a special thanks to all my friends at The Hub (Marcy, Dupe, and the rest of the crew!) and my friends at Click Communications (Tyler, Sabrina, Brigid, Angelica, and Collin) because I never really get to thank them as much as they all deserve. I wouldn't be where I am without you all! Thank you for being awesome!

A-a-a-angry Beavers!

Can't you hear the trumpet now? Shake your flat beaver tails, everyone, because Norbert and Daggett are back in this 10-disc DVD set from Shout! Factory! This was one that when the announcement showed up in my email inbox, I just about jumped out of my seat and broke a few fingers trying to respond as quickly as humanly possible. While I was much older when Angry Beavers was actually on television (I remember discovering the Nicktoons channel on my cable in college by finding an episode of Angry Beavers playing), I still thought this cartoon was downright hilarious and by far one of the best Nick has ever shown. (Take THAT, SpongeBob!)

Smurfs to the Rescue! on DVD

Hello TV parents!

You might find me odd, but I can't stand the Smurfs. They're blue, they're little, and they use the same word as four different parts of speech.

Today, I watched over an hour of the Smurfs for you. The very least you could do is pop over and read my article about it. Don't say I don't love you, readers. Because I do.

I just don't love the Smurfs.

MLP Equestria Girls... I finally got to see it!

Boy did it take a long time to get My Little Pony Equestria Girls here in Ohio! I went last weekend to check it out in the theatre, along with about two dozen adult men dressed as ponies (no joke!). I was afraid it was going to be dopey, awful, overstated... insert any number of adjective equivalents for "disappointed" here... but I was actually pleasantly surprised.

Well, except for one teeny tiny little thing...... let's just say, I'm glad I don't have a daughter so I don't have to deal with the princess complex!
